The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
