The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
